Eczema

Eczema is a chronic, recurring itchy rash (inflammation of the skin), usually occurring in individuals with a personal or family history of hay fever, asthma, or allergic rhinitis.  It can be widespread or limited to a few areas of the body.   It can occur at any age but, is most common in infants to young adults.

Treatments include: topical corticosteroids, oral antihistamine (for itching), oral corticosteroids or immune-suppressing drugs, hydration (oiled baths) and phototherapy (therapeutic UV therapy).
