Facial Contouring

Think of your skin as a three-layered cake where the lowest supporting layer is the fat and the middle layer is the collagen-rich dermis. The thinnest and most superficial layer is the epidermis. Young, healthy skin contains an abundance of all three components. With age and exposure to sunlight, we notice significant changes to all three layers. Loss of facial fat and dermis results in deflation and loss of the facial scaffolding upon which our skin is draped. Loss of elasticity and chronic UV exposure results in drooping and surface roughness. Add the mottled red and brown discoloration that give rise to "age spots" and spider veins and you have a complete picture of the aging face!

During your consultation, Dr. Sharata, Alicia Nadeau PA-C, and our staff will address the issues that concern you most and provide you with several plans that result in the improvements you seek. Some of the techniques may involve simple changes in your daily regimen, while others may involve injectables or minimally invasive procedures. We understand your needs for safety, minimal down time, and financial constraints. Dr. Sharata has been researching and perfecting several techniques, such as facial contouring which uses autologous fat transfer (using your own stem-cell rich fat tissue) to augment and replenish lost facial tissues.

We will offer you an extensive menu of options ranging from IPL photofacials, chemical peels, microdermabrasions, Botox injections, and filler procedures.  We will tailor a plan that leaves you with a natural and refreshed appearance.  We strive to bring out your best features and avoid an overdone look.  We use FDA approved fillers such as Sculptra, Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse.
